This class we looked at a couple of submissions from recent events. The first was a Von Flue choke, although the kids these days are calling it a Von Preux, in honour of OSP. He hit this choke on the weekend again. It's a great counter to a guillotine that your opponent has unwisely held on to for too long.
A quick break down of the Von Flue choke as seen in the past UFC (171, Saint Preux v Krylov), as requested by Darragh!
Next we talked about the mounted guillotine, the technique Gordon Ryan used to finish Keenan at ADCC on the weekend. It is a great way to leverage your hips into the choke and get the finish single handed if need be.
