Combat wrestling offers a middle ground between No Gi Jiu Jitsu and Sambo, in many ways bringing in the best elements of both. Although Combat Wrestling has been producing incredible talent in Japan for a long time, it has only been an international sport for 4 years. It allows a wide variety of submissions, but places a high degree of emphasis on throws and takedowns by scoring them based on quality and amplitude.
The full rules can be found here, but below will follow a quick primer.
