5/8 Gi Recap - DLR triangle.

Having covered the omoplata already this class was mostly about a triangle entry from De La Riva. To begin with we need to capture the far cuff grip. One way to do this is as a counter when our opponent attempts to clear the posting leg. If they grab your foot, bring your knee to to your chest and take the grip. Once acquired, we sit up and pass the grip between their legs to our other hand. With this hand trapped, we grab the collar and force them to post on the near, free hand. We now have all we need for the triangle. Posting a leg on their hip, we pull the collar and elevate our hips for the triangle. Be sure to let go of the grip between their legs on the far cuff as it is no longer needed and inhibits your ability to elevate. Once in the triangle position, be sure to grab your shin and secure a better angle quickly to move away from their options for escape.
